About Me

Caroline Wright, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Bergen County, New Jersey offering a variety of psychological services. For psychotherapeutic services, she provides individual therapy for diverse needs, but specializes in treating adolescents and young adults having difficulty with trauma, depression, and anxiety. She also provides forensic assessment for courts throughout Northern New Jersey, specifically child custody, future violence risk assessments for both adults and youths, and juvenile sexual offending risk assessments.

Dr. Wright earned her B.A. from Loyola College in Maryland (now Loyola University). She then earned her M.S. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Finally, she earned her Psy.D from Long Island University, specializing in family violence. She completed her predoctoral internship at the James J. Peters Veteran Affairs Medical Center working with numerous veterans struggling with various problems including PTSD, substance use disorders, and stress management and anger problems. Previous experiences include working in an adolescent inpatient unit, and working with teenagers and their families deal with the negative consequences of technology, mostly cyber bullying and harassment, and sexting (taking and sending naked pictures of themselves or other peers).
